UP board Class 10, 12 Result 2017: Girls once again ahead of boys

UP board Class 10, 12 result declared

The results of UP Board class 10 and 12 exams have been declared on the official website www.upresults.nic.in today on June 9. Performing extremely well, girls have outperformed boys in both the classes. Fatehpur’s Tejasvi Devi and Priyanshi Tiwari have obtained the first rank each in class 10 and 12 exams with 95.83 per cent and 96.20 per cent respectively.

Last year, the result of class 12 examination was declared on May 15 and Sakshi Verma topped the exam by securing 491/500 marks.

This year, over 60,61,030 candidates — 34,04,715 for class 10 and 26,56,319 for class 12 — had registered for the high school and intermediate exams. Last year, more than 68 lakh students appeared for the exams including 37,49,977 from class 10 and 30,71,892 from class 12.

All those students who had appeared for the same are required to check their respective results at the official website www.upresults.nic.in

This year, due to elections, the exam dates were shifted and the invigilators were assigned to work in election duties as well as board exams.

Pass percentage

Pass percentage 2017: This year’s pass percentage stands at 81.6 per cent for Class 10, and 82.5 per cent for Class 12.

Pass percentage 2016: The overall pass percentage for class 10 was 87.66 per cent, while class 12 pass percentage stood at 87.99 per cent.
