Popular bakery outlet Greggs have been associated with many things, cheap sausage rolls, cheap doughnuts, builders and the glorious festive bake to name just a few. One thing you don’t associate it with is being healthy.
Well, it is aiming to change that as it introduces the summer diet which largely consists of the same things they already sell. Apparently, these sausage rolls and doughnuts have been SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to help people lose weight.
The eating plan was devised following a month-long experiment featuring four dieters including a bride-to-be from Stockport, a new mum, a sales rep and a teacher with a hectic lifestyle. In a statement, Greggs said the dieters have collectively lost over two stone of weight and 14 inches from their waists in just 30 days by eating exclusively from the Greggs menu.
There is even a 7-day plan you can follow that involves porridge for breakfast and a sausage roll for lunch.
